New: Customisable Profile Overview Layout

The client profile overview now has a customisable grid layout. Superusers can configure which cards appear on the overview page, including invoices and client data fields, so practitioners see the most relevant information upfront.

We've released a new layout for the client profile overview. It gives you more control over what information appears on the front page of a client's profile, so you can tailor it to how your service actually works.

All the information you're used to seeing is still there. The new layout simply lets you choose what's most important to surface upfront, rather than having to click through to find it.

Watch the walkthrough video below, or keep reading for a step-by-step guide.

What has changed

The profile overview page now uses a configurable grid layout. By default, you'll see the same information as before: client information, outstanding forms summary, key client contacts, packages, and groups. The difference is that Superusers can now customise this grid to add, remove, or rearrange cards to suit your service.

New card types are now available, including:

  • Invoices

  • Client Data Fields (CDFs) - you can select specific fields to surface, such as presenting issues, available days, or any other CDF configured in your workspace

  • Appointments

  • Referrals

This means information that previously required navigating to the Profile Information tab can now be brought to the front page. If you want to see a client's presenting issues or available days at a glance without clicking through, you can set that up.

How cards work on the overview

Each card on the profile overview shows a summary of that data type. For example, if you have a Packages card, you'll see which packages are assigned, their utilisation, and when they were added.

Clicking on a card takes you through to the full detail tab for that area. So if you click on the Packages card, you'll be taken to the Packages tab where you can manage utilisation and take additional actions. The same pattern applies across all cards: the overview gives you the snapshot, and one click takes you deeper.

How to customise the layout (Superuser)

Superusers can configure the grid layout for the entire practice. This means the layout you set is what all practitioners in your service will see, keeping things uniform.

  1. Open any client profile and navigate to the overview page.

  2. Click Customise Layout.

  3. You will see the current grid layout and a change history showing any previous configuration updates.

  4. Click Add a Card to add new sections to the grid. Choose from the available card types (key contacts, packages, groups, appointments, invoices, referrals, or client data fields).

  5. When adding a Client Data Fields card, you can select which specific fields to display. Start typing the field name (e.g. "initial presenting issues") and select from the list. You can add multiple fields to a single card.

  6. Remove any cards you don't need by removing them from the layout.

  7. Save your changes. The updated layout will be reflected across all client profiles in your workspace.

Practitioner view

Practitioners will see the layout configured by their Superuser. The heading and profile notes sections have not changed. The new layout applies to the grid area of the overview page only.

You'll also notice dedicated tabs for Packages and Groups in the profile navigation, so you can access those areas in more detail at any time. For example, if no groups are assigned yet, you can assign groups either from the overview card or from the Groups tab directly.

Reverting to the classic view

If you prefer the previous layout, you can switch back at any time. Click Revert to Classic View at the top of the profile overview page to return to the original layout. You can switch between the new and classic views as needed.

Good to know

  • The customised layout is set at the practice level by the Superuser, so it is consistent for all practitioners across your service.

  • Client Data Fields cards are a great way to surface referral information, presenting issues, or any other structured data that practitioners need to see quickly between sessions.

  • The layout change only affects the overview grid. The profile header and profile notes remain unchanged.

  • Both practitioners and Superusers can revert to the classic view individually if preferred.
