Custom Labels

Customise the terminology used across Tacklit to match your practice's preferred language; rename clients, practitioners, and groups to whatever fits your clinical framework.

What Are Custom Labels?

Custom Labels let you replace default terminology across Tacklit with words that match how your practice actually talks. If your team says "patient" instead of "client", or "therapist" instead of "practitioner", you can make the platform reflect that — everywhere.

Supported Labels

You can currently customise three key terms:

Client / Clients — change to "patient", "participant", "consumer", or any term your service uses

Practitioner / Practitioners — change to "doctor", "clinician", "therapist", or your preferred term

Group / Groups — change to "class", "session", "workshop", or whatever fits your model

Where to Find It

Go to Control Panel → Custom Labels. Toggle on any label you want to customise, type your preferred term, and save. The change applies across the entire platform immediately.

Who Can Use This?

Custom Labels are managed by Superusers. Once set, every user in the practice sees the updated terminology.

Good to Know

This is particularly useful for practices that need to align with specific clinical frameworks, funding body requirements, or organisational language policies. For example, NDIS-funded services might prefer "participant", while a psychiatry practice might use "patient".
