How to create templates for use in Tacklit

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Templates in Tacklit let you standardise the forms, assessments, and documents used across your practice. Creating a template ensures consistent data collection and saves time for your team.

Creating a New Template

  1. Navigate to Forms in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click Create to start a new template.

  3. Add your fields — structured questions, free-text areas, dropdowns, checkboxes, and more.

  4. Link fields to Client Data Fields (CDFs) where appropriate, so that responses automatically update the client's EMR record.

Access Control

You can set who has access to use each template. This is useful when certain forms are only relevant to specific roles or teams within your practice.

Managing Templates

  • Edit existing templates — You can modify a template at any time. Changes only apply to future uses of the template — they do not alter data already collected using previous versions.

  • Deactivate templates — If a template is no longer needed, deactivate it to remove it from active use without deleting historical data.

  • Add any CDF — Any Client Data Field can be added to a template, giving you flexibility to capture exactly the information your practice needs.
