Tacklit 360 CareOS Side View Feature

Use the Side View feature in Tacklit 360’s CareOS toolkit to display two screens side-by-side within a single browser window, so you can compare information, multitask, and keep context without switching tabs.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Step 1: Enable Side View and Open the Side Panel

When Side View is enabled on your account, you will see a new toggle at the top of the screen with a “1” and a “2”.

Switch this toggle to activate the side panel. The right-hand panel will open, allowing you to display selected screens in this second view while keeping your main screen on the left.

Step 2: Work Within a Client Profile Using Two Parallel Views

Navigate to a client profile and review their upcoming appointments on the main (left) screen.

If you need to validate information from a referral document or other client data while viewing appointments, you can use the side panel for that secondary information.

This setup allows you to perform two related tasks at the same time, moving between the two screens without losing context.

Step 3: Choose Which Panel to Open Screens In

When you click on sections such as Notes, they will open in Screen 1 (the main, left-hand view) by default.

If you instead use the “2” panel controls, the selected content will open in the second panel on the right-hand side.

This is particularly useful within a client file when you need to compare information side-by-side—such as viewing assessment results in one panel while writing a case note or drafting a letter in the other.

Step 4: Adjust Panel Size and Maintain Context

You can resize the panels, making the side view narrower or wider depending on the task and the information you need to see. This flexibility helps you avoid jumping between multiple browser tabs and keeps everything within a single, consistent view.

Step 5: Keep Common Tools (Like Calendars) Pinned on the Right

You can pin commonly used tools in the right-hand column and continue to navigate anywhere you need on the left.

For example, open the calendar in the right-hand side to keep scheduling information visible while you work elsewhere in the system.

You can then add multiple people’s calendars to that right-hand view if you manage several staff members’ schedules.

This way, you maintain a persistent scheduling view on the right while completing other tasks on the left.

Continue to work through all required tasks on the left-hand side while keeping your key tools visible on the right.

Step 6: Use Jump Buttons to Collapse and Expand the Side Panel

Use the small jump buttons to adjust how much space the side panel takes.

You can narrow the view so the right-hand panel becomes very small when you don’t need to focus on it.

When you want to work with it again, click the jump button to expand it and start interacting with the second screen on the right.

Step 7: Optimize for Multitasking and Larger Screens

Side View is designed for users who frequently multitask or need to compare information in situ, rather than opening multiple TacklIt tabs.

It is especially effective on larger monitors, where you have more screen real estate for the side-by-side views.

The more space available, the more comfortably you can work with both panels.

Step 8: Review Side Panel History and Close Side View When Finished

You can access the history of what you have viewed in the side panel to quickly navigate back to a recent screen.

At any time, you can close the side panel by toggling back to a single-screen view using the same “1 / 2” toggle at the top.

Side View is available to superusers, admin users, and practitioner users, and is intended to streamline day-to-day work by enabling efficient, side-by-side information review.
